Sharing Your HIV Story

During this year’s annual AIDS/LifeCycle bike ride in California, the LGBT story site I’m From Driftwood (www.imfromdriftwood.com) is interviewing bikers on the rode who are HIV+ and having them share what it was like to be diagnosed and what happened since. In the video below, Chris Ritchie — The creator of The Stigma Project (www.stigmaproject.org), an organization that works towards lowering HIV infection rates by advocating tolerance and acceptance for HIV/AIDS — talks about his experience at a mobile HIV testing unit when he found out he was positive. Ritchie, 24 and a Texas native, also talks about dealing with prejudice and ignorance regarding HIV and how he has dealt with it:

Thanks to I’m From Driftwood Founder and Executive Director Nathan Manske for posting this video and to The Huffington Post Gay Voices Blog for bringing it to our attention here at Virally Suppressed.
