Baltimore is celebrating National HIV Testing Day by hosting a massive citywide outreach effort to get people and communities tested and aware of their HIV status. Put on by The JACQUES Initiative through their faith-based outreach program Project SHALEM in concert with The Gallery Church, the Institute of Human Virology and other partners, the event is in it’s fourth year and is going strong. Thus far, Project SHALEM has tested over 5,500 Baltimoreans and has trained hundreds more in the community to conduct testing as well. The testing will be going on all day today from noon to 7 pm in 5 locations across the city which have been listed at the bottom of the page.
